In the Land of Dogma, Cindy is the President! After graduating from The University of Arizona in 1999, Cindy worked for two years as an account coordinator for a Tucson health-services company. She then moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida because of her husband Philip's job. In Gulf Breeze, Cindy started a licensed pet sitting company. Within a very short time, her love for animals and her eagerness to go the extra mile (sometimes literally!) for her customers propelled her business into a full-time operation. Being as much a contributor as an entrepreneur, Cindy dedicated herself to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., an organization that raises and trains dogs for the disabled. As a puppy raiser, she committed to many hours of work that included a strict regimen of canine socializing, special canine conditioning, and multiple canine training events. It was a labor of love and for a great cause!

As Cindy's pet sitting business and guide dog training progressed, Cindy began to draft a business plan for a dog daycare facility. Her goal was simple. She wanted to build the best dog daycare in the world. Cindy researched the subject and myriad facilities. She then flew to the Washington D.C. area to attend a dog daycare conference where she learned what can make a dog daycare be the best. She also studied dog psychology and pack behavior, which was quite fun for her since she received her degree in Psychology! After a few years of saving, planning, and handling hundreds of dogs, Cindy returned to Tucson in 2005 to work on the opening of Dogma. She spent nearly a year working with the City of Tucson to ensure the safest facility for Dogma Dogs and a facility that would be handicap accessible. Happily, Cindy received her Certificates of Occupancy and opened Dogma's doors in 2006!
